A big thank-you to all who contributed!

Our great book Giveaway event of 13th July was a tremendous success.

We managed to raise £1089, for our charity Sunshine & Smiles, The Leeds Down Syndrome Network

Many thanks to all who helped on the day, and many thanks to everyone who put their hand in their pockets for the wonderful voluntary donations that came in.

Comments from people who came included;

“I just couldn’t believe how many beautiful books there were to choose from”
“I hadn’t realised that I didn’t have to pay for the books”
“Will you be doing this again, please?”
“When are you having the next one?”

Several people thought it was a book swap and couldn’t believe that the books were being given away.

At this moment I am planning to hold this event annually, sometime in July, so keep a look out for our press releases nearer the time.
